Technology Management's Leadership

Technology Management prides itself not just on building integrated business systems but the talent of its people. The company is thriving under the guidance and leadership of its directors.

James CrowterJames Crowter - Managing Director and Founder

James founded Technology Management in 1992 and has led from the front ever since. Helping clients use technology to grow their business is his passion and with over twenty years consulting experience, he's an acknowledged leader in his field.

His interest in computing began at the age of eight, long before his school had the equipment to cope. Throughout school and university James developed software commercially.

After years of working with a range of distribution and manufacturing software for hundreds of organisations, James has the ability to understand the business requirements of almost any organisation and what it will take to deliver those systems.

James holds many IT certifications, such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV (for over 12 years), as well as Microsoft Windows Server, Exchange and SQL.

James has the ability to push his teams to deliver to the maximum, while at the same time explain technology in terms that everyone can understand.

Alison CrowterAlison Crowter - Finance and Administration Director

Alison joined Technology Management in 1994 to start the Pegasus consulting team and to take responsibility for the financial and administration areas of the company. An accountant by background, Alison has worked in various manufacturing, retail, agricultural and service companies for over 30 years.

Before joining Technology Management Alison was employed by companies on short-term contracts to trouble shoot and install new systems to increase their efficiency and meet their reporting requirements – at a time when IT was first emerging from the pure corporate environment.

Bringing this background and the accounting and managerial skill sets to Technology Management has allowed the company to build a well rounded consultancy team, enabling the business to deliver solutions from a business as well as an IT point of view.

Having 'been there and done it' in the real world means that Alison is able to share an understanding of client pain points when new systems are being installed and the priority of support issues thereafter.

Liam Walton - Sales & Marketing Director

Liam joined Technology Management in 1993 and was responsible for all technical consulting, the technical support teams, and the hosting services infrastructure, until taking over the sales and marketing directorship in 2011.
