A Junior software consultant who will provide first line assistance to clients operating Microsoft Dynamics NAV business systems.

This is a junior role, but typically successful candidates will progress to a more senior roles and through to on site consulting roles within 2-3 years.

Training will be guided by your mentor using Microsoft provided self-study learning material, classroom training, one to one mentoring and on the job experience.

Microsoft Certifications via Prometric testing will need to be achieved within the relevant areas of functionality to progress.

Principle Duties

  • Answering and logging calls and emails regarding system issues and assigning the correct priority, obtaining and logging the information needed.
  • Providing first line assistance that leads to the successful resolution of cases.
  • Working with second line support and the consulting/development teams to reproduce the issues and determine the cause then communicate the actions needed to allow speedy resolution.
  • Communicating the status of outstanding cases and the plans for their resolution.

The Person


  • Ideally Computing for Business / IT or Business degree but other degrees considered.

  • Basic accounting and common business practise knowledge
  • Problem solving/analytical mind
  • Great communication and customer handling skills
  • Ability to understand & learn software & processes quickly

Desirable Skills

  • Remain calm under pressure


  • Working Hours: Full time, 08:45 - 17:15 with one hour lunch break
  • Location: Central Wolverhampton
  • Duration: Permanent


20 days annual holiday plus 1 day for each calendar year of service up to 25 days
  • 1 additional days holiday for every 6 months not sick
  • 8 additional days for bank / public holidays
