Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Frequently asked questions

Still have questions? We might just have the answers....

I already use Microsoft Dynamics NAV and it's bespoke to my organisation's needs, can I switch to Dynamics 365?

Short answer, no. Dynamics 365 is a cloud-only solution hosted on the Microsoft Azure plaftorm - many deep, industry and company specific modifications to customise your current Dynamics NAV system cannot be managed on this plaform and will need to be maintained on a Dynamics NAV license.

How do I implement Dynamics 365?

To implement Dynamics 365, you will work with a Microsoft Partner in the UK to get the applications installed and your business up and running on the platform.

This promises to be a simple process and organisations can be using the software within days.

What's happening to Microsoft Dynamics NAV?

Nothing. Microsoft Dynamics NAV in the UK will continue to be invested in by Microsoft and annual releases remain scheduled.

What's happening to Microsoft Dynamics CRM?

Microsoft Dynamics CRM currently comes in two formats - Dynamics CRM Online and Dynamics CRM On-Premise.

The Dynamics CRM On-Premise solution (one which is hosted on a company's own servers) will continue to be readily available for purchase.

Dynamics CRM Online (the hosted deployment option) will no longer be available for purchase as this functionality will become available in Dynamics 365 for Sales, Marketing and Customer Service.
