With sites in Cornwall and Essex, Caterlink and Marcantonio supply an extensive range of ice cream cones, flavourings, decorations, glassware, disposables and point of sale materials to ice cream manufacturers and retailers, patisseries, bakers, restaurants and food service wholesalers across the UK.
Continued growth and expansion meant that their existing systems and paper-based processes could no longer support the group’s day to day operations and reporting.
The need for a single, comprehensive ERP solution came as multi-site cooperation was vital for the company to continue to grow and their existing disparate systems were causing a major headache – with traceability and forecasting virtually impossible tasks.
To grow and expand their operations, more insight and control over processes and reporting possibilities were essential.
Caterlink and Marcantonio Foods turned to Technology Management and subsequently implemented Dynamics Food (Microsoft Dynamics tailored specifically for food industry) – successfully joining up their sites and systems, giving them the flexibility they need to grow.
Caterlink and Marcantnio Foods are now able to:
- produce management reports very quickly
- identify trends and improve customer service
- increase flexibility between companies in the group to support and manufacture products almost on a just-in-time principle
- streamline traceability across the organisation
Going to a single unified system within the whole group brought together the possibility to do management reporting in a common way and it made intercompany operations more manageable and easier.
