The 2015 Visionary Awards, which are presented in 10 categories, recognise and celebrate Microsoft customers that have achieved notable accomplishments using their Microsoft solutions. Established in 1997, the Visionary Awards are awarded each year at the Convergence conference.

World Animal Protection are a valued charity who work locally in the UK, right through to global projects such as the prevention of cruelty to animals in the tourist and entertainment industries. Their important work is dependent on the international coordination of their funding, people, vets, governments and educational assets. To continue to provide effective support, treatment and work within local communities, World Animal Protection turned to Microsoft. The complete solution of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Dynamics CRM and Office 365 has enabled the charity to work in the most cost effective way.

Steve McIvor, International Director of Programs explains, “It is obviously vital that an organisation like ours is efficient and that we are reducing as much a possible the unnecessary costs, the paperwork and bureaucracy that many organisations are besieged by at times. Microsoft allows us to cut out a lot of that and allows us to be out in the field, being flexible and making a real difference for animals”.

Dynamics CRM is used across their 14 international offices to manage all press communications, corporate sponsorships and engagements as well as monitor social media discussions on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and their blogs. A single worldwide installation of Dynamics NAV enables World Animal Protection to streamline reporting and compare performance across their operations. Solutions such as Skype for Business, SharePoint and OneDrive, delivered as part of Office 365, enable staff to work collaboratively, globally.

When asked about the incumbent partner used to help implement this Dynamic solution, Simeon Lewis, International Head of IT explained, “We have been working with Technology Management for a number of years, originally just on Dynamics NAV but more recently we have been engaged with them on Dynamics CRM support and they have been very influential and helpful in setting up those solutions for us. We find Technology Management to be the most knowledgeable in this field.”

James Crowter, Managing Director of Technology Management, concludes "We are thrilled that World Animal Protection’s use of technology has been recognised by Microsoft. They are a relatively small organisation that has a big impact on animal protection and welfare across the globe. Their use of integrated, cloud-based solutions means that their teams can operate across international boundaries and still have access the information they need to do their jobs effectively.” James Crowter, Managing Director of Technology Management.
