Local firm Technology Management have been commended for their dedicated approach to improving staff wellbeing, in reflection of their recent efforts in improving the working environment for all their staff.

Great Place to Work® have recognised the software company as a centre of Excellence in Wellbeing. The award considers the experiences and views of current employees and views on the six dimensions that underpin wellbeing: work environment, financial security, mental and physical health, inter-personal relationships, work-life balance and fulfilment.

HR Manager of Technology Management, Michelle Havenhand said: “We take great pride in our work environment and have really thought about how we can enhance our employee engagement. We have found that having recreational areas around our building encourages a collaborative company culture as well as providing some fun, relaxing spaces.

“We also host a variety of annual sporting competitions, with staff vying for the highly coveted trophies supplied by the company. To be recognised by Great Place to Work® as a centre of Excellence in Wellbeing is a fantastic reflection on the culture we’ve created.

“Importantly, we also offer support for the mental and physical health of our staff. We cover all employees with full health insurance, which includes 50% off membership at any Pure Gym. It’s important that everybody here knows that my door is always open to voice personal issues or concerns as we always strive to offer as much support as possible. To help achieve a suitable work-life balance, our staff can work from home and we have also approved alterations to work schedules in response to changes in personal circumstances.”

Technology Management Managing Director, James Crowter explained: “With over one hundred members of staff, we have a real emphasis on creating a workplace that works for both our people and business. Within the last year alone, we’ve invested in several ergonomic aids, including: standing, treadmill and even exercise bike desks. We’ve aspired to build a workplace that will ultimately maximise our productivity and make our team happy which is critical in providing the best service possible to our customers.

James concluded: “We pride ourselves on being one team. If there is one testament, I can give to everybody who works here, is that this survey proved we are way beyond most organisations when it comes to helping and mentoring between colleagues. There are no politics here and it’s always a team effort whenever we deliver a project for our clients. It’s brilliant to see that our efforts have been commended and we will never rest on our laurels when it comes to making investments that will benefit all of our staff.”
