Make Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central work harder for you with the 3 Rs - review, refresh, and revisit!

You wouldn’t buy an expensive piece of machinery for your business and then fail to service it or train new staff on how to use it properly. The same should be true for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central; after all you’ve spent lots of time, money and energy getting it up and running.  

Once the dust has settled it’s easy to step back from the stress of implementation and leave Dynamics 365 Business Central running quietly in the background taking care of business. After all everyone had the training, embraced the technology, and adopted new routines. 

And there’s the problem, routine is great, it saves time, but every now and then you need to step back and review what’s working for you, what isn’t and what could be improved. You might be surprised to learn that many of those little refinements or processes you need may already exist within Business Central in the latest version or can be quickly and easily added by simple installing an app. All it can take is a bit of research or better still a chat with your partner when they touch base to find out what’s possible. By doing what you ‘ve always been doing you’ll be missing out on the biggest opportunity to get the most out of Business Central for little to no cost. 

Think about that finance routine that’s taking someone at least an hour to run every day. If there’s not Business Central functionality to handle it, there’s quite possibly now a Microsoft approved app (from AppSource) that can handle that process, making light work of a time-consuming task. Better still it can be downloaded at the click of a button and trialled (sometimes at no cost) with the option to uninstall if it isn’t meeting your needs.  

There are also other options from within the Microsoft universe, such as Power Automate, which can also provide rapid and cost-effective solutions helping to streamline business processes and avoiding the need to undertake lengthy and expensive development work.
