Tecman become Great Place to Work Certified™ for another year!

We’re thrilled to announce that we have once again been certified as a Great Place to Work™! This is the 4th year we’ve achieved this certification and we’re incredibly proud of it. It’s a great indicator that our staff are happy, but also helps us continually improve and create a fantastic company culture that our team can thrive in.

Great Place to Work® is a global organisation that believes great employee experiences are better for people, for business and for the world, and we couldn’t agree more. After all, happy employees mean happy customers. By creating a positive and healthy company culture we know all of Team Tecman are looked after, which in turn means they’re able to give their very best to our customers.

So what exactly does this mean and how did we become certified?

All our employees are invited to complete a confidential survey, called the Trust Index™, carried out by Great Place to Work®, these are a mix of multiple choice and written questions that dig deep into our company culture and how happy our team are. If the Trust Index™ results are 65% or higher then we become recognised as a people-first workplace and get that Great Place to Work certification!

However, you may have noticed that we have various badges related to our Great Place to Work™ status, including our certifications and our “Best Workplaces” badges. So where’s our next Best Workplaces™ badge?

Well, the certification is the first stage of the process in becoming one of the UK’s Best Workplaces™ 2023. It gives us immediate recognition and is valid for 12 months. We also receive all the anonymous feedback that was given in the Trust Index™ survey, this is incredibly valuable information that tells us exactly how our employees feel and what improvements they’d like to see in the company. It’s an opportunity for the team to provide feedback without worrying about their name being included so they can be completely honest. Our senior management team then review this feedback and look at where improvements can be made for all of Team Tecman. No matter how big or small the suggestion, they are all considered to see what adjustments could be made.

We will now progress onto the next stage where we hope to become one of UK’s Best Workplaces™ 2023. The thresholds for becoming a Best Workplace are higher but bring even bigger rewards like being listed on the UK’s Best Workplaces ™ list and being featured in the likes of The Guardian and The Telegraph.

Taking part in the Great Place to Work™ process isn’t a quick thing to do. It’s an investment of time and money, but it’s so worth it! Every year we want to bring improvements and ongoing cultural development here at Tecman. It’s how we’ve achieved several Best Workplace recognition awards and have been recognised as a UK Best Workplace and UK Best Workplace for Women in 2022. Our employees are our biggest advocates, so why wouldn’t we want to create an excellent working environment for them?
