The start of a new chapter for Wolverhampton firm

After several months of renovation, Wolverhampton-based Technology Management is finally settled into its new home at St Mark’s Church in Chapel Ash.

Celebrating today (8th June 2016) with its 95-strong team and an open day for customers, the leading business solutions software company is raising a toast to thank all involved in the £1.75 million project.

Moving from The Old Rectory in Waterloo Road to St Mark's, an imposing 19th century former church that has be unoccupied for the last two years, Technology Management’s new spacious office has been updated and modernised. The building’s renovation enhances its historical features to bring the strength of the old and the new together and marks the next stage in the firm’s expansion plans.

James Crowter, managing director of Technology Management explains: “We are delighted to have finally moved in to such an important local landmark. Whilst we are sorry to leave our offices in Waterloo Road, we’ve just run out of the space with staff numbers doubling in the past four years and our current plans suggest we will double again over the next”.

“We were keen to stay in Wolverhampton for our existing staff and local customers and are really are pleased to part of the regeneration of the city. It’s an exciting time for us and Wolverhampton”.

Technology Management’s £1.75 million investment represents the purchase price as well as significant additional refurbishment and restoration costs. Phase one is now complete which means the team have moved in with phases two and three planned to be undertaken over the next couple of years, with the clock and bells in the church’s clock tower restored and the wrought iron railings repaired and reinstated in their full glory.

James continues: “But it wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our customers and local firms in the area in bringing this amazing Grade II listed building to life. Wherever possible we have either sourced material and fixtures and fittings from our customers or local firms.

“Thanks to Karndean for our pristine reception flooring, Carvers for all the building materials, Premier Carpets for supplying the carpets, SafetyNet for installing our visitor management system, Nexus for providing the lighting, Eastbrook for our sanitary ware, Biasi for helping to keep us warm with their radiators, Spax for supplying the screws (and we needed thousands of those) and last but not least, Jura for providing the essential coffee machine. Everyone has been incredible and has helped us enormously. The restoration we are sure, once complete, will make its founders proud.”

Technology Management first opened for business in 1992, operating out of offices in Tettenhall before moving to The Old Rectory and now to St Mark’s Church. The firm specialises in supporting companies in manufacturing and distribution to improve profitability and growth through integrated software solutions that embrace information technology to automate and speed up business processes, as well as shaping innovative new practices to create new revenue streams.

James concludes: “We are an established company with our roots firmly based in Wolverhampton and our mission is to continue to service our clients both locally in the West Midlands, across the UK and internationally from our new HQ here at St Mark’s Church.
