We're more than Microsoft Dynamics 365 experts.

We're business experts. And you can be too!

Got a few years of business experience under your belt but still looking for that amazing career? Maybe you’re a recent graduate looking for the next step? Or maybe you're looking for an alternative to university? Our Academy Programme could be the perfect fit for you.

If you’re wanting a career where you feel like you’re making a real difference, you have a chance for progression, where you can learn, develop, and grow – all at a company that’s an official “Great Place to Work” – you’ve found it at Tecman.

Choose Your Pathway

We have a number of positions available for our Academy Programme this year, with two main pathways to choose from: Dynamics Business Analyst, or Dynamics/Power Platform Developer. So, whether you’re more business-focused, for the business analyst pathway, or more techie, for the developer pathway, we’ve got two excellent (and lucrative) career directions to choose from.

Once you’ve chosen your path, you’ll have a variety of career options awaiting you. We give our Academy team the chance to find their passion within their business analyst or developer-focused roles, so you don’t need to make the decision now, take the time to discover the right role for you with the support of the team here at Tecman.

Our Academy team have previously gone into roles in consultancy/project implementation, customer account management, presales, project management, support, Power BI design, Power Platform &, CRM, and more. Plus, we always prioritise our own team’s progression in their career before hiring anyone new. In fact, as of the end of September 2023, 55% of our team have been internally promoted. We’ll always aim to help you drive your career forward and achieve your goals!

If you’ve got passion and a willingness to learn, we want to hear from you. Great things await you, no matter where you are in your working-life journey. Check out our two pathway options and see what current members of the team have to say.

Dynamics Business Analysts

If you enjoy problem-solving and are eager to get to grips with how our customers operate, so you can understand both their challenges and business objectives, then look no further than our Business Analyst role.

Our Business Analysts focus on several areas. From support to project implementation, you’ll be experts in how each customer’s business works. You may be running customer workshops, meeting with clients, or working to resolve a customer’s system issues. With the help of our training, you’ll know exactly how Microsoft Dynamics 365 can help a customer achieve their business goals.

Working closely with colleagues is essential to ensure the right product experts are involved to get the job done. In a world where technology is constantly changing, you’ll always be discovering new ways Microsoft Dynamics 365 can benefit our customers. It’s an exceptionally rewarding pathway with a range of future role options here at Tecman that can take you far in your career.

Dynamics/Power Platform Developers

Our Dynamics/Power Platform Developers will be designing, developing, configuring, and coding in one or more Microsoft technology stacks, including Microsoft Power Platform, to bring consistent, quality software of the highest usability to our customers. New product development could include new functionality, Power Automate flows, integration, or reporting requirements like Power BI development, giving you varied projects to get involved with.

Get involved with development as well as deciphering customers' business requirements and work as part of a team to meet the required customer timescales.

We’ll make sure you’re up to date with the latest training needed, whether that’s here internally with a more experienced team member, or off at an engaging development conference for a couple of days. We’re ahead of the curve with the latest Microsoft development so you know your skills will never go stale no matter which role you go into from this pathway.

What is the Tecman Academy Programme?

Our Academy is now in its 9th year. This year, we’re looking to recruit a group full of enthusiasm to support our customers using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Dynamics 365 Sales, Marketing & Customer Service (aka Dynamics CRM) and the Microsoft Power Platform.

We’re looking for people with a degree in Business Management, Information Technology, or something similar, or relevant business experience.

You might be fresh out of university or have just finished your A-Levels. Alternatively, you might be working in finance, manufacturing or distribution with some experience of Microsoft Dynamics 365 or Power Platform as an end user and want to develop further. Maybe you’re working in a related IT sector and want to get into the world of Microsoft Dynamics. Or perhaps you’ve got a relevant degree and a few years of business experience under your belt.

Everyone takes their own path when it comes to careers, especially in tech! And here at Tecman that often means not going down the tech route from the moment you leave school/university or being a super techie person. Watch the video and hear from a few of our team and what roles they did before joining Team Tecman.

Whatever applicable experience and/or qualifications you bring, with the right attitude and focus you’ll find our Academy Programme is the perfect stepping stone to a career with Tecman. So what are you waiting for? Get your application in!

Is the Academy Programme right for me?

No matter what your background, or what role you’re going into, everyone starts off with the same industry and product training. Your first few months of employment will be classroom-style training, and yes, you’ll be receiving a full salary while you’re learning!

There’s a fair bit to take in, but don’t worry we’ll keep it interesting and provide plenty of support, you’ll even head out on site visits to customers so you can see first-hand what they get up to. We also include assignments to enhance your soft skills, provide access to Microsoft self-study learning material, and give you on-the-job experience so you can put that knowledge into practice. From here you’ll be expected to pass the relevant Microsoft certifications before moving on to the next stage of your learning. Your initial training will be carried out as a group for an intensive 13 weeks of getting to know who our customers are and what exactly we do here at Tecman.

From there you’ll move into your role, with the support of an experienced mentor. Here you’ll get real-world experience, and you’ll really start to see the difference we make to our customers, while still receiving ongoing support and on-the-job training from your team and mentor.

We want to see your careers take off! That’s why we invest so much training and support in your first few months with us.

Connor is now taking the next step in his career, starting his role as a Presales Consultant.

As a Computer Science graduate, Nosheen joined our Academy programme back in 2014 as a Dynamics Graduate Developer, and from here her career has taken off. Lourens is proof it’s never too late to change the direction of your career!

Starting in our Academy Programme, Harriet now plays a vital role in our Customer Services team as a Customer Engagement Manager. Her training from the Academy means she knows the Dynamics 365 products inside and out, combining that with excellent relationships built with our customers means she can provide great customer experience. Recently, Harriet has taken on more responsibility looking after our key Tecman service, Cloud Control, which oversees the deployment of new versions of Dynamics 365 Business Central for customers operating in the cloud.

Why start a career with Tecman?

As a world-leading (yes, really, even from little ol’ Wolverhampton), Microsoft Dynamics 365 partner, we help large enterprises such as Coca Cola, Mars and PepsiCo, plus numerous mid-sized organisations such as Border Biscuits, Bernard Matthews Frozen, Karndean Design Flooring & Victoria Carpets.

We combine our specialist product knowledge, technical expertise and understanding of business operations to help our customers streamline processes, be more responsive and resilient and expand their operations.

You can forget stuffy, boring, and character-less office spaces with Tecman. Our HQ has always been a talking point ever since we moved in back in 2016, what with it being a beautiful 19th-century church, we’ve brought it up to date and created an incredible working environment. Plus, being in Wolverhampton means we’ve got great transport links to Birmingham, London, and the rest of the UK. But even though we’re based in Wolverhampton we also have people working remotely across the UK, Poland, Italy, Malta and Romania.

We love the working environment we have built, but you don’t have to take our word for it! We’ve been recognised as one of the UK’s best workplaces by Great Place to Work in 2017, 2019, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Plus, we’ve also been recognised as a Great Place to Work for Women in 2022 and 2023 as well! We’re also a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner and proud members of Women in Dynamics, helping promote diversity and inclusion within the Dynamics Community.

Diversity is incredibly important to us. Bringing a team together made up of people from different backgrounds brings so many benefits with it. Our team see things from so many different angles, it gives us the best group of people for the job, delivering high-quality solutions to our customers.
