The Deprecation Deadlist: What’s Been Buried in Dynamics 365 CRM

Reading time: 1 - 2 minutes

This Halloween, it’s not just ghosts and ghouls giving Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM users a fright—it’s the features quietly vanishing into the night! Here’s a quick tour of the haunted halls of CRM, where deprecations lurk around every corner.

Sales Usage Reports:

Once a hidden gem for tracking sales activity, these inbuilt Power BI dashboards are being banished on 1st December 2025. If you relied on them, it’s time to conjure up your own custom reports before they disappear for good.

Copilot Tricks & Treats:

With new Copilot features, some old favourites, like document summaries, and email follow-ups are vanishing. The side pane is here to stay, but some users wish for more prompts to make it truly helpful.

Customer Service Ghosts:

The Unified Service Desk is slowly fading away, with support ending in 2028. New customers are being ushered into the Copilot Service Workspace and classic AI features are being replaced by Copilot’s new spells. Old Omni Channel dashboards are also being replaced by the Contact Centre.

Marketing & Field Service Shadows:

The Marketing Effectiveness Analytics dashboard and LinkedIn integrations have vanished pushing users towards Power BI and third-party tools. Field Service is losing its Outlook integration and out-of-the-box reports, with Microsoft encouraging everyone to build their own solutions.

While these changes might seem scary, remember: every haunted feature makes way for something new. Embrace the change, and don’t let the ghosts of CRM past spook your progress!
